Dubai Dragons

Founded in 2007, the Dubai Dragons are one of the original clubs of AFLME and a cornerstone of the league. What started as a small group of expats looking for a kick quickly grew into a proud, well-established club with a strong reputation both on and off the field.

The Dragons have won six AFLME Premierships - 11/12, 12/13, 14/15, 15/16, 16/17 & 17/18.

Over the years, the Dragons have played a major role in shaping AFL Middle East, helping grow the league, supporting AusKick and junior pathways, and building a tight-knit community around the club. Known for their competitive edge, welcoming culture, and strong club spirit, the Dragons continue to be a driving force in the Middle East. ship against the Doha Kangaroos.

Jumeirah Bulls (previously Multiplex Bulls)

The Jumeirah Bulls were founded in 2014 and quickly became a key part of the Dubai and wider Middle East football community. From the outset, the club focused on building a strong culture, one that values inclusivity, commitment, and enjoying the game as much as the social side that comes with it.

 

The Bulls have won two AFLME Premierships - 18/19 & 19/20


The Bulls have grown steadily over the years, fielding competitive teams and contributing heavily to the league’s development, including Auskick and community initiatives. With a loyal player base and a reputation for being welcoming to newcomers, the Bulls remain a club where players of all backgrounds can feel right at home.

Abu Dhabi Falcons

Established in 2007, the Abu Dhabi Falcons were formed to bring Australian Rules Football to the UAE capital.

The inaugural Falcons meeting was undertaken at the Captains Arms, and the first hit out for the team was part of a nine-a-side tournament held in Dubai. Dubbed the Falcons after Abu Dhabi’s favourite pastime Falconry.

Since then, the Falcons have built a strong presence in the league, offering a competitive football program while fostering a close, supportive club environment. In March 2011 the Falcons culminated an unbeaten season by winning their first premiership against the Doha Kangaroos.

Riyadh Rovers

 

The Rovers are the newest team to AFLME, founded in 2025, by a group of Aussie-rules enthusiasts and expats passionate about growing the sport in the region, the Rovers provide opportunities for players of all ages and skill levels to train, play and share their love of Aussie footy in the Kingdom.


Riyadh Rovers is a community-focused Australian rules football team based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The club promotes teamwork, sportsmanship and cultural exchange, helping build a local Aussie Rules community while hosting training sessions, social games and events that bring together both expatriates and locals interested in the fast-paced, uniquely Australian sport. The Riyadh Rovers are part of the broader movement of Australian rules football clubs appearing across the Middle East and Asia, where the game continues to grow through grassroots participation and international interest.
